Our commitment to excellence dates back to 1973 when AA-Air Company was founded in the garage of the Pirkle family home. Honoring that commitment for over 50 years has made us one of the top HVAC specialists in the region. Today, daughters Donna and Tracy continue the tradition of expert and timely service with the same client-focused vision that has been instrumental in the success of the company.
We feature a team of highly-trained NATE certified technicians who must satisfy a demanding continuous education regimen in order to maintain their accreditation with this professional association. Many of our techs are also members of the Comfort Institute, and we have a Building Performance Institute Analyst on staff. These specialists, along with our entire organization, pledge to provide customized comfort system solutions for all of our valued clients.

Central City Heating & Air Conditioning is a multi-generational family business with locations in Knoxville and Roane County. Our team of long-serving HVAC veterans has helped us build lifetime relationships with our customers and the community. It’s these lasting bonds that make our life’s work so fulfilling.
With our new business expansion, we now offer Mitsubishi and RunTru products, in addition to American Standard and Rheem models. As an independent dealership, we install, repair, and maintain all brands and models.
Additionally, we’ve upgraded our communications software to keep up with clients in real-time. Another new feature is in-house training, so our employees stay sharp on the latest products.
In 2021, Central City owner, Donna Kimble, bought Central City from her close associates, Annette and Paul Woodward. Both Donna and Annette's fathers founded their respective businesses—Central City in 1970 and Central City in 1973. Now, the two locations have the Central City title.
