We have an opening for an experienced HVAC service / maintenance technician.
The Job:
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential and select light commercial equipment with minimum assistance and supervision
• Understand and communicate the benefits of preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems, then make repair recommendations
• Communicate repair/replace options to customer for approval, and then perform approved repairs
• Utilizing company-provided iPad and software to communicate, document, and notate job details
• Complete warranty paperwork and service-related forms
• Work staggered schedule, or on-call status for emergency service with backup support, as required
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
You Provide:

The Job:
- Understand layout, design, and fabrication of HVAC systems
- Ably remove old equipment
- Installation of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and ductwork
- Some sheet metal fabrication for coil pans, access panels, etc.
- Set and level base, air handler or furnace, and condensing unit
- Cut and clean fittings, thread pipes, reconnect gas piping, install drain lines, etc.
- Assemble, braze, and test line sets
- Perform low voltage wiring for furnace, A/C, thermostats, etc.
- Start up and troubleshoot furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps and condensing units
- Complete all necessary paperwork, job packets, change orders, time cards
- Communicate well with home and property owners, supervisors, builders and other trades
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times

The Job:
- Arrive and be ready to start work by 7:00 am
·Assist Dept Managers as necessary to dispatch the crews in the morning
· Communicate status of inventory stock, returns, and shortages
· Receive any deliveries, tracking equipment and supplies for each job
· Perform quarterly inventory count
· Maintain shop and grounds, keeping clear of clutter and clean
· Demo units and separate for recycling
· Communicate status of jobs daily
· Review schedule for upcoming jobs and pull & stage to meet material lists
· Stock & shelve, and restock & reshelve materials as they come in
· Maintain warehousing of company supplied tools and equipment • Participate in company-sponsored training classes as assigned - Back up and assist other office staff as needed or assigned

The Job:
- Maintain the dispatch board and technicians’ schedules while using logistics planning for proximity of location, complexity of job, and availability of technicians
- Coordinate and schedule, as received, all service requests, calls, emails and messages, and convert them to appointments for the service team
- Dispatch Service Technicians in the AM, and one call at a time throughout the day
- Manage technicians’ weekly and ‘on-call’ (after hours) schedules
- Outreach to Service Technicians during the day to maintain efficient productivity, flexibility in schedules, and debrief upon completion of jobs
- Verify service time cards for accuracy
- Work with Customer Service Coordinators to maintain efficient volume/direction of maintenance service appointments, forecasting workload for 2-3 days forward
- Contact customers to update status regarding parts and service, and to verify experience satisfaction
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for staging parts/materials/consumables ahead of maintenance calls
- Take overflow incoming customer calls scheduling service requests, and reroute all other calls
- Maintain thorough customer CRM entry notes, documentation, and job invoicing as part of the team
- Communicate well with Service Manager and assist in resolving accounting and other issues
- Participate in company-sponsored training classes as assigned
- Back up and assist other office staff as needed or assigned
- Maintain professional, courteous and professional demeanor at all times
